Leaseback experience

Are there any affirmed opinions about lease back of power boat
yachts in the WA area?  I’m thinking 39′ Carver, Ocean Alexander,
Tiara, etc. of ten years of age or less.  Twin Diesels.  Full
electronics.

Basically, is this a losing experince/investment?  Considering that we
might use the boat two times per year, the rest of the year is on
charter.

Newbies seek to know.

Amsoil dual oil filtration system

Has anyone used this system either with or without their Amsoil 15-40W
marine diesel oil in  a turbo diesel? I seek research, experience and
opinions on the issue.

Autopilot for Jet Boat

Still looking for this…

Boat: Bombadier Jet Boat, Utopia 185 with 200hp Mercury.  Uses cable
steering.

Looking for an autopilot which works with the above, particularly at
slow (trolling) speed.

Thanks

Info request for Nantai 37 Sailboat

A Nantai 37 Cutter is listed locally at a reasonable price and I have
been having trouble finding information on the boat design, quality,
sailing character, maintenance issues (other than the teak decks).  If
you are familiar with this boat and can offer additional information or
links to sources I would be very appreciative.

autopilot to windvane?

I have an autohelm windvane which is the type that has a big rudder with a
little rudder aft to move the big rudder which turns the boat.
I’m thinking I could mount some sort of autopilot to the little rudder to
steer the boat as my regular AP is TU. Does this sound reasonable? Does
anyone know of such a device? Any ideas how to do it?

Bareboat in Sacramento/Stockton

Are there any outfits that offer bareboat rentals from Sac
or Stockton?  I seek twin Diesels and 35′-40′ length.
Bow thruster is highly desirable.

Hughes 36 sailboat

Anyone familiar with  mid seventies Hughes 36 sailboat?
Not much to be found on the net.
 From what I can gather…
some Hughes boats came in ‘kit’ form. You would buy the hull and
    finish yourself.
Came equipped with Atomic 4 gasoline engine
Sell for less tham most other comparable boats, but could be good
    deal because of this fact.
Any insights would be appreciated…as a friend is thinking of
purchasing one.

Drive on one engine cutting out

I have a 1985 32′ Chris craft stinger with twin 454′s. The starboard engine
has been acting up lately. If I give it throttle it starts to go then the
right engine will rev higher, the prop sounds like its cavitating, the
engine sync gauge swings way over to the right and the boat starts veering
to the right. Basically I am losing propulsion from that side and the engine
is unloaded. When I back the throttle down it "catches" and starts moving
straight, sync needle swings back over, etc. If it was a car I would say the
clutch is slipping but I am not sure if there are clutch packs in a boat
tranny, never worked on one. If I speed up real slow with the port engine
taking most of the load I can eventually get up to speed, but it still will
cut out for a second or two randomly. We ran over a crab trap a couple
months back but I dont know if that messed it up or not. It was on the
starboard prop and I had to cut it away to get it off, it was wrapped up
pretty good. If more details are needed please let me know. i could get
video of the gauges and sounds if that will help.
